Report a problem with the Campus-WiFi

In contrast to the wired network, the WLAN is easy to interfere with and overload, so problems often only occur selectively or for a narrow time period.

If you have problems with the WLAN, make a note of:

  1. exact location
  2. exact time
  3. data concerning your WLAN device
  4. which SSID (WLAN channel) you tried to connect to
  5. which IP address you received
  6. whether you were able to authenticate yourself
  7. how many other people were in the vicinity
  8. how many of them use wireless devices, e.g. WLAN, Bluetooth, GSM, UMTS, or if the services are activated
  9. whether other hotspots are activated locally and on which channels they are transmitting.

Then go to the ServicePoint in A102.1 and have them check whether the problem is not rather with your device and leave your notes there.
